SEE YOU AT SUNSET (SYAS en abrégé) est un groupe d’Electro-Rock formé en 2018 par Frédéric Labudka (chant, guitare, piano, percussions, programmation) et Grégory Romming (basse, percussions).
Le groupe compose rapidement ses premiers titres qui retiennent l’attention du producteur américain à succès Dave Schiffman (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against The Machine, System of a Down, Vampire Weekend, Audioslave, The Strumbellas, PUP, Adele…) qui leur propose de produire et d’enregistrer leur premier disque dans un studio canadien où il a ses habitudes.
Fred et Greg, accompagnés de la batteuse Joan Massing, s’envolent ainsi pour Toronto en mars 2019 et rejoignent Dave au studio ‘Union Sound Company’ où ils enregistrent leur premier EP éponyme au format 5 titres. Dave mixe ensuite les titres dans son studio personnel situé à Los Angeles puis met le groupe en relation avec Howie Weinberg et Will Borza qui réalisent le mastering à Howie Weinberg Mastering, Los Angeles.
À leur retour du Canada, le groupe se consacre à la préparation de la sortie du disque et tourne notamment son 1er clip pour le titre phare de l’EP ‘Capitalism’. L’EP et le clip sont publiés le 13 novembre 2020 et reçoivent un accueil prometteur tant de la part du public que des médias. Fred et Greg concentrent alors leurs efforts dans la composition de plusieurs nouveaux titres pour étoffer leur setlist et complètent leur line-up en recrutant le batteur de renom Nicolas Kieffer avec qui ils finalisent la préparation de leur show scénique et commencent à tourner à l’été 2021. Leur show riche en émotions et en interactions avec le public leur permet d’être rapidement remarqués et programmés aux côtés d’artistes de renommée nationale tels que Cali, Louis Bertignac, Elmer Food Beat ou encore Electro Deluxe.
La musique de SYAS est à la fois ancrée dans les racines du Rock (U2, Queen, Nirvana, Muse, Linkin Park) et proche des musiques Electro-Pop (Twenty One Pilots, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Panic! At The Disco), ce qui contribue à créer l’identité musicale forte et unique du groupe. Ses textes revendicateurs sont à l’image de sa musique, chargés en émotions et nourris d’espoir. SEE YOU AT SUNSET (aka SYAS) is an Electro-Rock band formed in 2018 by Frédéric Labudka (vocals, guitar, piano, percussion, programming) and Grégory Romming (bass, percussion).
The band quickly wrote its first songs, which caught the attention of the American successful producer Dave Schiffman (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against The Machine, System of a Down, Vampire Weekend, Audioslave, The Strumbellas, PUP, Adele…) who offered SYAS to produce and record their first record in a Canadian studio where he often works.
Fred and Greg, accompanied by drummer Joan Massing, took off to Toronto in March 2019 and joined Dave at Union Sound Company studio where they recorded their first 5-track self-titled EP. Dave then carried out the songs’ mixing in his personal studio located in Los Angeles. Later on, he introduced the band to Howie Weinberg and Will Borza who took care of the mastering at Howie Weinberg Mastering, Los Angeles.
Back from Canada, Fred and Greg worked on the EP’s release and made the band’s first video to put in image the EP’s main song ‘Capitalism’. Both out on November 13th, 2020, the record as well as ‘Capitalism’ video were warmly greeted by critics and audiences. Fred and Greg then focused on the writing of several new songs to expand their setlist and completed their line-up by recruiting renowned drummer Nicolas Kieffer with whom they finalized the preparation of their scenic show and started touring in the summer of 2021. Their show, full of emotions and interactions with the audience, allowed them to be quickly noticed and programmed alongside nationally renowned artists such as Cali, Louis Bertignac, Elmer Food Beat and Electro Deluxe.
SYAS’ music is both anchored to Rock’s roots (U2, Queen, Nirvana, Muse, Linkin Park) as well as Electro-Pop music (Twenty One Pilots, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Panic! At The Disco), which contributes to shape the band’s strong and unique musical identity. The lyrics are the band’s music style alike : committed, moving and hopeful. The band aims at contributing to a collective awareness by fighting for its dreams and working for a better future.

Die Band komponiert schnell ihre ersten Titel die die Aufmerksamkeit des Erfolgreichen Amerikanischen Produzenten Dave Schiffman (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against The Machine, System Of A Down, Vampire Weekend, Audioslave, The Strumbellas, PUP, Adele…) auf sich ziehen, der ihnen dann anbietet, ihre erste Platte in einem Kanadischen Studio zu produzieren und aufzunehmen, wo er seine Gewohnheiten hat.

Nach ihrer Rückkehr aus Kanada widmet sich die Band der Vorbereitung der Veröffentlichung der Platte und dreht insbesondere ihr erstes Musik-Video für den Titel der EP « Capitalism ». Die EP und das Musik-Video erscheinen am 13. November 2020 und werden sowohl vom Publikum als auch von den Medien vielversprechend aufgenommen. Fred und Greg Konzentrieren ihre Bemühungen dann auf eine Komposition aus mehreren neuen Titeln, um ihre Setlist zu erweitern und ihr Line-up zu vervollständigen, indem sie den renommierten Schlagzeuger Nicolas Kieffer rekrutieren, mit dem sie die Vorbereitungen für ihre Bühnen-Show abschließen und im Sommer 2021 auf Tour gehen.
